• Workshop on Mars Atmosphere
  We recently organized the Workshop "Mars Atmosphere Modeling and Observations", here in Granada, at the Palacio de Congresos, on 13-15 January 2003. For more information visit the Workshop's web page, the on-line abstracts of the presentations, the intercomparison campaigns and the LOC page.

• Latest incorporations to the Group

  From this summer 2003, Dr. Martin Kaufmann kaufmann@iaa.es has joined the group and will be working in the MIPAS project.

  From October 2002, we all enjoy the incorporation of Francisco Gonzalez Galindo and Sergio Gil.
  Francisco ggalindo@iaa.es is carrying out his research under the supervision of M. A. López-Valverde within the ESA's sponsored project "Mars Environment Models" and is directed to the improvement of a theoretical 1-D models of the energetics and composition of the upper Martian atmosphere and to the development of parameterizations that can be used within 3-D global circulation models of the Martian atmosphere.
  Sergio sergio@iaa.es will be working under the surpervision of Manuel López-Puertas within the SABER and MIPAS projects, mainly in the aplication of NLTE models to the analysis of upper atmosphere IR emissions measured during these missions.
