    HOW TO REGISTER ?

    Please read the Registration information in the Workshop Main Page.

    Notice in particular, that it is very important for the LOC to know the attendance to the Workshop and the Social Program as soon as possible. If you or other persons that you know are planning to come and attend the Workshop and/or the social events and you/those persons have not sent an abstract, please TELL US by sending an e-mail to forget@lmd.jussieu.fr as soon as possible.

    The registration fees are:

    Accompanying person ......... 50 E

    This fee includes the abstract book, the refreshments at the breaks, the workshop dinner on wednesday, the wine and food on monday evening, the Thursday evening, gift bags, etc...

    PALACIO DE CONGRESOS Y EXPOSICIONES



    The Workshop will be celebrated at the Palacio de Congresos y Exposiciones de Granada. It is very central and close to major hotels in town.

    Lectures will be presented in the "Andalucia Rooms", and the Posters in the adjacent areas.

    Computer projection and poster facilities will be provided.
    The Power Point presentations shall either be supplied to the assistant at the projector before the start of each session, or shown from your own laptop.
    The required poster size is 90 cm wide x 100-120 cm high.
    Special needs can be forwarded to the LOC.

    Internet connection will be available outside the Conference Rooms via 1 PC and 5 lines to connect your laptop. The Palacio does not have a free WiFi zone.


    HOW TO REACH GRANADA





    The city of Granada is located in the south of the Iberian Peninsula, at the foot of the Sierra Nevada chain of mountains, with the highest peaks of the peninsula, and around 400 km distance from the Spanish capital, Madrid.



    There are daily direct flights from Madrid, Barcelona, and London to Granada, as to the near-by cities of Malaga and Almeria (1 and 2 hours by road, respectively).
    Detailed time tables for trains to/from Granada can be found in the Spanish Train Network web page and for buses to/from Madrid and Malaga at the Alsina Graells Company web page.

    Taxi's fare from Granada's airport to city centre: 20-25 E.

    A package of rooms at special prices for the Workshop attendees and accompanying people is available for a small number of very central hotels in town. Please contact the hotel of your choice directly.
    NOTES: VAT (or IVA in Spanish) is the European official tax, 7% for accomodation. If you are arriving at the hotel after 8 pm, please inform them in advance. E-mail addresses can be found in their web pages. Do not hesitate to contact any of us if you have any doubt.

    The Carmen de los Chapiteles is an old house in a unique and priviledge location, at the same hill of the Alhambra and facing the Albaycin and the Darro River valley, with outstanding views of the Alhambra and the old town.

    Andalusí Evening. Tetería, Bajo Albaycin.

    We invite you to travel in time to the 16th century's Granada.
    For about 1 hour, you can taste a Marocco tea (mint) or a Pakistan tea (herbs and milk), enjoy a small concert of "andalusí" music with belly dancing, in a typical narrow "tetería" (tea house), and if you dare, communal smoking in "narguil" (water pipe, with apple or aromatic herbs, not tobacco).
